Working on the future at GHMS
Seventh grade Technology Education classes at Great Hollow Middle School have been tasked with designing orthosis for children with cerebral palsy. Students in Mrs. Caputo's classes are learning about physical difficulties that people may experience and braces that aid in their daily lives. The braces that students are designing are for tight muscles in a child's arms and legs. Designs include orthosis for the wrist, elbow, knee, and ankle. Students are enjoying the process of working together, creating, and actively using tools and machines.
