Adult Basic Education

Smithtown Adult Basic Education is a grant-funded program designed to prepare adults (21 and over) for success in post-secondary education and the workforce. Instructional programs based upon the College and Career Readiness Standards include High School Equivalency/GED® Preparation; English as a Second Language/English as a New Language; and Citizenship with digital, financial, and health literacy components integrated into the curriculum. NYS Certified Teachers and Counselors assist eligible students with Case Management and Transition Services as they make academic milestones.
