NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to New York Real Property Tax Law (“RPTL”) § 471, the Board of Education of the Smithtown Central School District will hold a public hearing at Smithtown Central School District, Great Hollow Middle School, 150 Southern Blvd., Nesconset, New York on February 24, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. at which time and place the Board of Education of the Smithtown Central School District will discuss, consider, and provide an opportunity for interested residents to be heard regarding proposed resolutions related to the following real property tax exemptions:
Public Hearing 1: A proposed resolution adopting the Surviving Spouses of Police Officers Killed in the Line of Duty Tax Exemption pursuant to RPTL §471.
