Meet West's FCCLA!
High School West Senior and FCCLA President, Chloe Foster, recently welcomed our new administrators to West. Chloe has been a member of the nationally affiliated community service club since middle school and has worked her way up the executive board. She introduced Mr. Holl and Mr. Johnson to the club's initiatives and courses offered by the CTE Family and Consumer Sciences Department.
FCCLA members crafted gifts and baked sweet treats at their first club meeting.
In the coming months, the club plans to upcycle prom dresses to showcase their design skills while contributing to sustainable fashion, hand sew cosmetic bags that will be filled with toiletry donations for a local women's shelter, and continue a healthy eating initiative with elementary students to celebrate National Nutrition Month.
The High School West FCCLA advisors are Rachel Silsdorf -Kolakowski and Kaitlyn Cosgro, and the CTE Director is Christine LoFrese.
