Did you know Accompsett Middle School eighth grader Max Karmel has his own business? It's called "MAXimum Confection" and it's a big hit!
From chocolate chip cookies with M&Ms on top, to peppermint cookies, to brownies, cupcakes and crumb cakes, MAXimum Confection has something for everyone.
Roughly two years ago, Max said he saw lemonade stands in his neighborhood and, with the help of his mother, started his first bake sale. The idea was then born for an online business!
"My mom posts it on Facebook and people message us asking for orders and pick-ups...it's definitely gotten bigger than I thought it would," Max said.
Max says he would like to be a full-time baker when he grows up and says the one thing he's learned throughout this experience, is patience.
"If you rush it won’t be good and I want it to be as good as possible," Max explained.
