High School West students studying AP World Modern History recently paid a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The group explored galleries that brought classroom content to life, from ancient civilizations to early modern empires. Students engaged with primary sources in the form of artifacts, artwork, and architecture from cultures such as Mesopotamia, China, the Islamic world, Renaissance Europe and fashion.
The experience deepened their understanding of historical themes like cultural diffusion, technological innovation, and power structures.
