What's Cooking at High School West?

Ms. Castellano’s Chef’s Choice 2 class at High School West recently had a wonderful time welcoming Mrs. Ochrym and Mrs. Minschke to share some of their favorite homemade dishes with our students! 

Mrs. O taught our students how to make homemade potato soup completely from scratch — the perfect, comforting dish to welcome the fall weather!  Mrs. Minschke shared her homemade marinara sauce, a recipe close to her heart that brings back special memories of growing up watching her Nonna make sauce. 

Our students enjoyed learning new skills, discovering the stories and traditions behind these beloved recipes, and experiencing how food brings people together! Chef's Choice 2 is a class offered through the CTE Family & Consumer Sciences Department.
