VE students attend Leadership Conference in NYC
On Thursday, December 11, student leaders from Smithtown East and West’s Virtual Enterprise (VE) program traveled to the Deloitte offices in New York City to participate in the prestigious Winning Futures Leadership Conference. Representing Smithtown were VE chiefs Giuliana Capobianco, Maddy Harris, Lindsay Delgado, Margaret Worontzoff, Jacqueline Reisen, Brooke Visnius, Mallory Waller, and Katerina Miller.
The conference serves as an early career development opportunity for emerging leaders enrolled in the VE program. Throughout the event, students engaged with a panel of inspiring women business executives who shared insights on building a personal brand, establishing a strong professional presence, developing effective communication skills, and achieving financial empowerment.
Following the panel, business leaders guided students through hands-on activities focused on leadership, teamwork, and presentation skills—giving participants valuable real-world practice and professional growth.
It was a truly impactful experience for these future leaders, who returned energized and equipped with new skills to support their success in the VE program and beyond.
College Virtual Enterprise is a course offered through the CTE Business Department.
