Three-peat!
Please join us in congratulating Accompsett Middle School 8th grader, Olivia Lipiec, for winning the school spelling bee for the third year in a row! Olivia's winning word was "ablution."
In second place, after 19 rounds, was 8th grader, Leila Sidna.
Olivia will now move on to the next round as she starts her journey to return to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. for a second time.
All of the students who participated in Thursday's bee showcased not only a strong command of language but also the spirit of sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of their achievement and grateful for the support of everyone involved in this year's event.
