Third Annual Valerie Kratochvil Memorial Scholarship Game

The Smithtown East field hockey team hosted its third annual Valerie Kratochvil Memorial Scholarship game on Monday evening.

Nearly $3,000 dollars was raised at the event. All proceeds raised go towards a field hockey memorial scholarship started in Valerie's name.

A special thank you to the Floral Park Police Dept. and the West Islip Field Hockey team for their generous donations.

Valerie Kratochvil was a dedicated member of our SCSD family. Valerie was a beacon of passion and determination, whose love for field hockey was matched only by her vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm on the field.

She was an avid track runner and a valued member of the Smithtown East High School Field Hockey and Track Teams.
