The Next Step Begins

Students throughout the Smithtown Central School District have spent the week celebrating an important milestone as they participated in their Moving Up ceremonies. Surrounded by proud family members, friends, and teachers—and with plenty of tissues on hand—students received certificates recognizing their achievements as they prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey.

On Thursday, nearly 400 students from Great Hollow and Nesaquake Middle Schools were honored during their respective ceremonies, reflecting on their accomplishments and looking ahead to new opportunities.

As Nesaquake Middle School Principal Dan McCabe reminded students, “Enjoy the climb, my friends.”

Congratulations to all of our students on this exciting accomplishment. We wish them continued success as they take their next steps forward.
