The New York State School Boards Association recognizes Oct. 14-18 as School Board Recognition Week. President Michael Catalanotto, Vice President Michael Saidens, and trustees Matthew Gribbin, John Savoretti, Kevin Craine, Emily Cianci and Dana Fritch devote countless hours, on a volunteer basis, to provide oversight of the district and all we do to provide for our students.
"I would like to personally thank each of our Board members for their commitment to our school community," Superintendent Dr. Mark Secaur said.
The Board members also ensure strategies, resources, policies and programs align with district goals; assess and provide accountability for student achievement; and support a healthy culture districtwide in which to work and learn.
School Board Recognition Week helps to promote awareness and understanding of the important work performed by local school boards.
