Teddy Bear Clinic Visits Mt. Pleasant
The Teddy Bear Clinic has arrived at Mt. Pleasant! Kindergarten students welcomed the nursing team from Stony Brook Children’s Hospital for a fun and educational lesson on staying healthy and safe.
Students learned important safety tips, including the importance of wearing a helmet while riding a bike, buckling up with a seatbelt in the car, and taking care of their bodies to stay healthy.
The fun continued as students stepped into the role of nurses, caring for their favorite stuffed animals! They examined, diagnosed and treated their furry patients with plenty of love, bandages, gauze and, of course, lots of hugs.
A special thank-you to the Mt. Pleasant PTA Arts and Education Program for bringing this adorable and meaningful experience to our kindergarteners!
