Students turned superheroes at Tackan!

Tackan Elementary students are officially "Stormwater Superheroes.”

Cornell Cooperative Extension representative, Ms. Emily Gelardi, worked with Tackan 5th graders to learn about the local watershed and how water pollution affects local marine animals and ecosystems. Students tested water samples and used the information about the local area to determine the type and source of pollution present along with pollution prevention techniques.
