Social Studies honors for East seniors
Congratulations are in order for several Smithtown High School East seniors who have received awards for their various activities.
Without further ado:

New York State Comptroller, Thomas P. DiNapoli is given to a student to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence and citizenship through their involvement in activities that improve the school and/or community.

The Suffolk County Executive Public Service Award recognizes students from each high school who have combined their academic successes with a commitment to their community.

Olivia Bozzo - Office of the Attorney General Civic Ambassador Award
This award will be given to one student from each school who has demonstrated a passion and knowledge for civics and government. I strongly believe that recognition from educators, parents, and other mentors can build enthusiasm for learning as well as a desire to persevere, study, and thrive. It will truly be a privilege to acknowledge your students this year for their achievements, whether it be academic success, community service, peer leadership, or overcoming personal obstacles.

Cole Schmideler - NYS Comptroller Award for Academic Excellence & Citizenship
