SCSD elementary musicians getting ready for festival
The Smithtown Music Department recently kicked off its new Elementary Music Festival Program and it was a smashing success!
All of the district’s elementary music teachers joined more than 200 fifth-grade students from all seven elementary schools at Smithtown High School West for the first of five rehearsal sessions leading up to a special All-District concert on April 18.
The young musicians are already hard at work preparing for their big performance, and the excitement was felt throughout the room. We can’t wait to hear the final result when they take the stage together on April 18!
