SCSD 2027 Strategic Plan Highlights
If you didn’t get a chance to see Dr. Secaur’s presentation on the Smithtown 2027 Strategic Plan, be sure to check back on our social media pages throughout the day for some highlights.
In a survey that was returned by over 1,500 respondents; parents, students and staff were asked about their perception of the “Overall Quality of a Smithtown Education.” 88% of the respondents stated that the quality was excellent or good, a 1% increase vs. last year and a 12% increase in the “Excellent” rating vs. last year. That is a very significant increase that we are very proud of.

In a survey that was returned by over 1,500 respondents; parents, students and staff were asked, “Based on your experiences this year, how strongly do you agree or disagree that the district is fulfilling this mission? 79% of the respondents stated that they “Strongly Agree” or “Agree”, a 1% increase vs. last year and a 8% increase in the “Strongly Agree” rating vs. last year. This is a significant increase that we are proud of.

”Based on your experiences this year, how strongly do you agree or disagree that the district is fulfilling this vision? 75% of the respondents stated that they “Strongly Agree” or “Agree”, which is the same percentage as last year, but there was an 8% increase in the “Strongly Agree” rating vs. last year. This is a significant increase that we are proud of.
