Predator and prey lesson at Tackan
Tackan Elementary students received some hands on learning about animals and the food chain.
As part of the Western Suffolk BOCES outdoor environmental education program titled, Teeth and Skulls of Predator and Prey Animals, representative Erin Kelly helped students became detectives, examining animal skulls to learn about predator and prey animals.
The students learned about structures of the animals, types of teeth and who is king of the food chain and why.
