Paying a visit to the Pine Barrens

High School West AP students, under the guidance of AP Environmental Science teacher, Lauren Hoffman, enjoyed a trip Friday to the Pine Barrens on the east end of Long Island.
Students developed an understanding of groundwater, watersheds, climax forest and plant and animal competition.
