This is Trixie, Nesaquake Middle School's first therapy dog!
This beautiful 1-year-old Bernese Mountain dog has been introduced to students and staff by school counselor, Mrs. Harnett.
Some of her Trixie's daily activities include walking the hallways of NMS to greet students, classroom visits where Trixie is incorporated into curriculum lessons and is available for individual student meetings.
“Trixie has been a wonderful addition to our staff here at Nesaquake," Mrs. Harnett said. "You can see the positive benefits Trixie has on our students and staff. It warms my heart to see the smiles on the kids faces when they see her and she smiles right back."
