New season begins for SCSD unified bowling team

The Smithtown Central School District is proud to announce its third consecutive year of its Unified Sports programs. The Unified Bowling team opened its season Tuesday vs. John Glenn at Lucky Strike in Commack.

Due to the number of student volunteers from the Athletes Helping Athletes Clubs, as well as participation from the FAST and Special Education programs at East and West, the team has significantly grown. Head Coach Emily Fey says with a roster of 22 athletes, the district has reached its highest participation numbers to date; adding a plethora of new talent and positivity to the squad.

The Unified Basketball program will also begin its inaugural year in late April; adding to the Unified program as a whole and reaching more athletes in district than ever before. Thank you to our athletes, volunteers and aides for making this program what it is and has yet to become.
