The Smithtown High School East Math Honor Society held its induction ceremony and math awards this week. 109 new students were inducted, and a total of $4,400 was awarded to deserving seniors for college expenses!

The Honor Society is a chapter of Mu Alpha Theta, the National Mathematics Honor Society, and one of the most active organizations in the district with over 200 members.

Pictured are the new inductees, the officers, and seniors receiving math awards and service awards. Advisors Angela Boccio-McComb and Marianne Schoepflin would like to thank assistant principal Michael Aleci, mathematics director Angelica Babino, and instructional specialist Elizabeth Philp for attending the ceremony and celebrating the students' accomplishments.
