Honoring Our Heroes at MTP

This Thursday, Mt. Pleasant Elementary hosted its very first Veterans Celebration.

Twelve veterans connected to our student families were greeted with a school-wide clap-out, as the entire student body and staff thanked these brave individuals for their service. Following the clap-out, a special assembly was held and featured performances by the talented school chorus and select instrumental ensemble, as well as formal student introductions of their guests of honor.

Principal Ierano personally thanked the veterans, sharing that his deep appreciation for those who serve began with his own family. His father proudly served in the United States Army as an E-5 Sergeant, spending eight months in combat during the Vietnam War.
