Vivian Siglain, Yumna Fatiha Amjad and Frankie Stollberger, sixth graders at Great Hollow Middle School, have earned finalist recognition in the statewide First in Math Virtual Competition.
The students were the only finalists from the Smithtown Central School District.
Vivian, Yumna and Frankie solved the required skill set problems in the allotted time to advance to the finals in Albany on May 31.
Joining the students for a group picture is Great Hollow Middle School Principal, John Scomillio, Math Director and Team Leader, Angelica Babino, and teacher, Jennifer Baumeister.
