Adam Javidi, the new Principal of St. James Elementary School is hosting two upcoming meet and greets to get to know community members. On Tuesday, August 2 and Thursday, August 18 Mr. Javidi will be at the SJE playground for an informal get together from 4-6pm. Mr. Javidi, who grew up in Smithtown, began his career as a fifth grade teacher in Brooklyn before teaching first and second grade in a brand new school in Manhattan called PS 452. Since 2019, he has worked as the Assistant Principal of Locust Valley Intermediate before being named new principal of St. James Elementary School in April. “I am thrilled about this return to my hometown and the opportunity to serve this community.” Mr. Javidi told us. He succeeds Mary Grace Lynch who retired in June after 20 years at SJE.
