Equation Excellence at Great Hollow

Please join us in celebrating Great Hollow Middle School seventh grader Frankie Stollberger on an incredible academic achievement!

Many may remember Frankie from last year’s First in Math Statewide Competition in Albany, where he and two fellow Great Hollow students were part of only a select number of finalist teams representing Long Island. Frankie helped showcase Great Hollow’s place among the top young mathematicians in New York State.

Now, Frankie has reached another remarkable milestone. He has been accepted into Stony Brook University’s prestigious Institute for Creative Problem Solving, a highly competitive STEM program that brings together some of Long Island’s brightest young minds to explore advanced concepts in mathematics, science, and engineering.

Frankie was recently recognized at a recent Board of Education meeting for this outstanding accomplishment.

“Frankie, your grit, curiosity, and exceptional problem-solving skills have brought you to this moment,” said SCSD Director of Math, Mrs. Angelica Babino. “We cannot wait to see the incredible discoveries you will make and the achievements that lie ahead through this program and beyond.”
