Smithtown High School East honored 106 seniors this week who maintained a 4.0 GPA for four consecutive years of high school. Principal Rob Rose presented the gold cords, which the students will wear at graduation. Additionally, Assistant Superintendent, Paul Strader, handed each student a plaque. Assistant Principal Nicole Stech lauded the student’s accomplishments, as did every High School East guidance counselor. The counselors also looked back at the student’s most memorable high school moments and announced their future college plans.
The national anthem was performed by East senior, Carter Lam.Carter also performed in a stunning duet with classmate, Joleen Cao. The duet was a special composition created by Carter.
