Dogwood "Smiles"

Dogwood Elementary students who were caught performing random acts of kindness and making their fellow students feel included were recognized Wednesday by Principal Renee Carpenter.

“We caught so many of you doing the right thing when you didn’t think we were watching,” Principal Carpenter told the students during the celebration.

In alignment with the SCSD initiative The Smithtown Promise, students from each grade level were honored for exemplifying the Promise Principle, You Belong. These caring children went out of their way to help others feel included and valued as part of the Dogwood community.

Each recipient received a certificate, a cuddly gift, and raffle tickets as a token of appreciation for their kindness.
