Celebrating Our Young Scientists

High School East recently recognized its outstanding student researchers at the annual ThINK Discovery Symposium and Awards Ceremony. The event showcased the hard work, innovation, and dedication of students engaged in scientific research throughout the year.

Science Research Program Coordinator Maria Zeitlin served as master of ceremonies, guiding an inspiring evening of presentations and recognition. Attendees also heard from keynote speaker Leigh Baratta, a High School East Class of 2022 graduate, who traveled from Florida to share her journey and groundbreaking diabetes research.

Departmental awards were selected collaboratively by High School East’s science faculty, honoring students who demonstrated exceptional achievement, curiosity, and commitment to scientific discovery.
