Big teammates, big impact
Imagine being a kindergartener and having members of the High School East football team stop by to read you a story. Or hearing firsthand from lacrosse and cheer athletes about the power of teamwork, motivation, and believing in yourself.
That’s exactly what students at Tackan Elementary experienced Tuesday morning during a special Athletes Helping Athletes visit!
Led by Coach Greg Lauri, High School East football players spent time reading with kindergarten classes, while student-athletes shared meaningful messages about self-esteem, sportsmanship, and what it means to be a great teammate—both on and off the field.
A big thank you to Athletes Helping Athletes coordinator and health and physical education teacher Helen Flynn for bringing this inspiring experience to our youngest learners!
