Students in High School East and West's advanced cooking courses, Baking 2 and Chef’s Choice 2, paired up for an Event Planning Challenge! The students were responsible for planning the food and decor for specific clients and parties. The Baking 2 students created the vision board for the event, created a table-scape to showcase the decor and designed and made the occasion cake. Chef’s Choice 2 students created the menu for the event and prepared one of the appetizers from their menu.
Faculty, Staff, and Administration were invited to judge the Challenge and taste all of the delicious food! This event allowed our students to showcase their skills learned throughout the semester as well as their creativity. They truly did a phenomenal job!
Baking 2 and Chef Choice 2 are advanced cooking classes offered through the CTE Family and Consumer Sciences Department. These courses are taught by Kaitlyn Cosgro at High School West, Connie Smith and Jaclyn Greboz at High School East, Christine LoFrese, CTE Director.
