Third graders at Mt. Pleasant Elementary went "around the world" this morning, as author, singer and storyteller, Lou Del Bianco educated and entertained!
"When you read folk tales, you learn about the world and you learn about yourself," Lou told the students.
Lou brings cultural stories from around the world to students of MTP to show examples of good decision making, keeping moral values, and thinking of others before themselves. Through theater and song, Lou connects with the students and shows them how in different parts of the world, stories are used to teach valuable lessons and to lead a positive life!
Lou has performed all over the country, from the Tastes of Chicago to the Kravis Center to Carnegie Hall.
This event was made possible through the generosity of the Mt. Pleasant Elementary School PTA Arts in Education Program.
