Smithtown High School West student Aaron Matvenko is making big strides in the world of STEM after taking 1st place at Cooper Union’s Summer STEM Pitch Competition with his medical app, Medisaurus!
The app connects with medical databases, including the FDA, to help determine whether different medications are compatible or potentially incompatible with one another.
After advancing through multiple rounds and competing against 95 other teams, Aaron took the top prize and earned a $1,500 scholarship!
And he’s not stopping there. Aaron has filed for a patent for Medisaurus and hopes to make the app available to the public in the near future.
