AMS science investigation
Science students in Ms.Fitzpatrick and Ms.Gerstein's classes have been studying how a flameless heater in a Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE) can heat food by just adding water.
Students are designing their own heaters by figuring out the right amount of food and reactants to use. They are testing and improving their designs, getting feedback from classmates, and considering how their changes will affect others.
Finally, they will perfect their designs and have another team test their instructions for making the homemade heaters.
