A mixing pot of culture at MTP!

The recent "Cultures Around the World Night" was a vibrant celebration of the many cultures that make up the Mt. Pleasant Elementary community. Families had the opportunity to “travel the globe” through a variety of cultural displays featuring traditional foods, artifacts, customs, as well as music and dance.

The evening also featured special performances that brought cultures to life. Guests enjoyed the music and storytelling of musician and storyteller Johnny Cuomo, a presentation by the Center for Chinese Learning, and lively dance performances from the Diversity School of Dance.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for students and families to share traditions, learn from one another, and celebrate the rich diversity that makes the Mt. Pleasant community so special.
