A Magnifique Night to Remember at Nesaquake
Nesaquake Middle School welcomed students, families, and special guests this month for its annual French Night, an evening filled with culture, creativity, and community spirit. A highlight of the night was the outpouring of support for Madame O’Malley, as many of her current and former students gathered to share their appreciation and gratitude for her lasting impact on French education in Smithtown.
The event was thoughtfully organized and led by Nesaquake’s talented 7th and 8th grade French students, who hosted a variety of engaging and interactive stations. Guests enjoyed activities such as friendship bracelet making, henna art, a French cheese tasting, a French-inspired drawing competition, “Pin the Beret on the Frenchman,” face painting and French tattoos, and a French dessert matching game.
The evening also featured impressive performances from students of both Nesaquake and Great Hollow, adding to the festive and lively atmosphere. Local vendors, including The Cookie Shop, Crazy Crepe, CafeLahooti, and Syd’s Sweets delighted attendees with delicious treats, while Element Events Long Island generously donated their time and photo booth, giving families the opportunity to capture lasting memories.
From start to finish, the night was truly magnifique!
