Teachers and students decorated their classroom doors with meaningful themes for the holiday season as part of
"A December to Remember" at Dogwood Elementary.
Doors were judged using a rubric which included Visual Impact, Theme, Originality, and Student Involvement. Students presented their door to a panel of judges consisting of Dr. Secaur, Dr. Simmons, Mrs. Barlow the school psychologist, Mrs. Segnini the reading specialist and their principal Mrs. Carpenter.
All were impressed with the planning, student involvement, creativity, organization and as well as the academic skills embedded in the project.
Many doors sent the message of the value in helping others, spreading kindness and the importance of community service. Thank you to the DEL PTA for donating a prize to every classroom!
