World Language students at High School West recently celebrated National World Language Week. Students decorated G tower for a festive and inviting environment. Throughout the week students participated in activities to showcase the importance of learning languages and learning about other cultures. World Language classes hosted “March Madness” for music; students listened to music in their respective languages and voted for their favorite song. Students learned how to say phrases in other languages and shared treats from all over the world.
On March 16th, juniors and seniors attended International Night at Flowerfield. Students came together to celebrate their appreciation and love for languages and cultures! Students from the French, German, Italian and Spanish Honor societies performed skits to highlight aspects of the cultures studied in class. American Sign Language students performed a song for all to enjoy.
