“Create an environment in your school where bullying is not acceptable.”
Those were the words of Suffolk County Police Department Community Relations Bureau Officer, Karl Allison, today to third grade students at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School.
Officer Allison told the students they may see violence and bullying in movies and TV but it is not acceptable in real life.
"There are real life consequences to your actions," Allison said.
Officer Allison's presentations differ for different grade levels. He speaks about the roles of a police officer for students K-2. He talks about internet safety to fourth grade students and warns fifth graders on the dangers of cigarettes and vaping.
