The Friends of Music of Smithtown conducted yet another fantastic Summer music program! 

More than 80 students from grades 4-8 attended, three days a week for four weeks. 

Mr. Terrett, Mr. Sammarco and Mr. Dazzo worked with these young students on the fundamentals of playing an instrument. Fundamentals such as posture, breathing, how to hold the instrument, producing sound, reading musical notation, etc., were the focus. 

The more experienced students continued with more advanced concepts. 

One Smithtown parent said, “We’re so happy that this program is running strong again.” The students did a great job and will be ready to play in September.
