A new storm drain mural was recently painted at Accompsett Elementary School focused on reusing, reducing, and recycling to minimize waste and keep the environment clean.
The mural was designed and painted by High School West students and Smithtown Central School District educators Tim Needles and Kimberly Williams along with local artist Susan Buroker and alumni/staff member Matt Kelly.
This is the fifth mural of its type in Smithtown and the ongoing project has been supported with collaborators Take Action Global and the Smithtown Green Team.
