Business certainly picked up Thursday at the first IAB meeting of 2023.
Held at High School West, students participated in the Perfect Pitch speed networking event. The students started in one of the three pitch situations (A-C) and when the bell rang they had 60-90 seconds to pitch the IAB member. Then they moved to the next table to begin their pitch again. Students participated in a total of 9 pitches.
Early on, IAB members and students were honored for their fall/winter achievements.
Denise Massimo, Business Education teacher at High School West, was named the IAB committee member of the month.
Also honored was Krazy Kindess, the winning Business Olympics team.
Legislator Kennedy was on hand and presented the team with a proclamation for their success.
Assistant Superintendent Kevin Simmons, Career and Technical Education Director Christine LoFrese & High School West Assistant Principal Christopher Elsesser were also on hand to support the students and event.
