SCSD Superintendent Dr. Secaur began his meet and greet sessions last night at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School prior to their PTA meeting. He thanked the PTA and Principal Joe Ierano for allowing him to meet with their school community.
It provided Dr. Secaur with an opportunity to share district initiatives and discuss a wide range of topics with the parents in the audience. He discussed the district’s five year strategic plan as well as partnerships the SCSD has forged with school PTAs, the Town of Smithtown, the SCPD and Northwell Health.
There was also ample opportunity for members of the Mt. Pleasant Elementary School community to ask questions and share their opinions on items of interest.
Dr. Secaur shared the following..."It was very nice to chat with parents in an informal way about important school matters and I very much enjoyed the opportunity to meet more members of the school community."
