High School East and West students are enjoying some new Social Studies electives this year.
One of them is titled, "New York City and Long Island History."
Recently in this class, students explored Native American culture of the Long Island region. Students made wigwams to better understand the indigenous people of Long Island and their ability to adapt to the environments.
The two other new Social Studies electives are, "History Through Film," and "History of Sports in American Society."
