Members of the Smithtown Fire Department paid a visit to students at Accompsett Elementary School to teach the kids about fire safety.

The students learned to go to the nearest window in case of a fire, touch a doorknob with the back of your hand in case it's hot and to establish a meeting place if a smoke alarm goes off.
