The Smithtown High School East and High School West varsity cheer teams rocked the “house of the mouse” this past weekend.
The squads competed in the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Fl.
While High School East made it's respective semifinal round, High School West won a National Championship for Game Day performance!
Coaches Kristen Perri and Kayla Golub say the HSW team is the first Long Island team to ever win a Game Day championship!
"There truly are no words to describe how proud we are of this team! Their commitment and love for each other was the strong driving factor of their success this past weekend. For a team that only began competing in the Game Day division last year this was a tremendous accomplishment and milestone for our program!" says Coach Perri.
Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches!
