Book Buddies!
High School East National English Honor Society and 3rd graders at Mills Pond Elementary joined together for a book buddy event.
Mills Pond librarian, Mrs. Dyckova, prepared activities to celebrate Earth Day. Her 3rd grade students kicked off their time together by reading a nonfiction book to the high school students. Afterwards, they worked in groups to create rock art with pebbles, rocks and sticks collected from the outdoors.
The event was facilitated by librarian, Mrs. Bishop-Scioli, and NEHS advisors, Mrs. Stavrou and Ms.Tokarski.
