HS East Girls Tennis Try Outs

Monday - Friday: JV is 8 - 10 AM at Gaynor and Varsity is 8 - 10 at World Gym.  All 9th and 10th graders should attend JV try-outs unless they desire to try-out for Varsity.  All 11th and 12th graders should be attending the Varsity try-outs. Please allow some extra travel time as World Gym is a little further away from your house as compared to last year.

A parent meeting will take place at 9 AM on Saturday for all players at Gaynor. Varsity will practice from 8 - 9 that morning (at Gaynor) while JV will practice from 9 - 10 AM.

Student-athletes commit to college

The district celebrated the commitments of 23 student-athletes to play at the collegiate level with letter of intent signings on Feb. 6 at Smithtown High Schools East and West.

Patrick Smith, the district’s coordinator of physical education, health, athletics and nurses, commended both the students and their parents for their hard work and dedication in reaching this milestone. “Without the effort put forth by these student-athletes in both their academic careers and on the playing fields, along with the support of their parents, they would not be standing here today preparing for the next phase of their journeys,” he said.
