The administration and music department of Smithtown HS West are proud to congratulate the following 2023-2024 NYSSMA All State Musicians. Congratulations to Ethan Benstock (Instrumental Jazz), Erika Gehrling (Alternate), Mikayla Grafstein (Alternate), Katie Greening (Alternate), Matthew Lasher (Alternate), Tyler Walters (Symphonic Band) and Heng Ye (Alternate). As a result of a perfect NYSSMA score on an All-State level solo, these elite musicians have been selected to a New York State honors performing ensemble. This is the highest performance honor in the state and is a magnificent achievement for these outstanding students. We are very proud to have them represent Smithtown HS West at this year’s All State festival in Rochester and we commend their superior achievements!
