Congratulations to Sophia Augier who today was voted to be the honor speaker for High School East at this year's graduation!
Sophia was selected by her peers Wednesday morning at the school's annual Gold Cord breakfast.
High School East Principal Rob Rose lauded the accomplishments and dedication of the seniors and then made the announcement.
Sophia says she was happily surprised!
"I was kind of shocked, I didn't expect it. I love speaking and I'm gracious for the honor of speaking for my classmates," Sophia told us.
After the ceremony Principal Robert Rose and Assistant Principal Nicole Stech took a picture with Sophia.
Graduation is set for June 22.
